Urban design Al-Salt city
This urban planning project focuses on revitalizing two key areas in Al-Salt City, Jordan: Hammam Street, a renowned market street, and Oqba Bin Nafe, a largely inactive commercial building across the street. Currently, most of the shops in Oqba Bin Nafe are closed, and the street suffers from waste accumulation.
Our vision is to create a sustainable green network that reconnects Hammam Street with the historic essence of Al Basateen and The Big Mosque Saha, both rich in cultural and social memories. By addressing waste management issues on Hammam Street and restoring the vibrancy of the Oqba area, which once thrived as part of the Basateen, we aim to foster a sustainable local economy and enhance the quality of life for residents and visitors alike.
The initiative seeks to transform these spaces into lively, green, and economically viable hubs, preserving the city's heritage while paving the way for a more sustainable urban future.
